They may be gone, but we miss them the most.

Bunnies From the Past.

Binky, our mascot, passed away in September. He was my very first rabbit and part of the reason I got into the whole rescue thing to begin with. I have never met a sweeter more loving animal than Binky. He was big ball of love and I will truly never forget him. He was born in San Diego, California where I blindly purchased him from a pet store for 39 dollars. Like most people with their first rabbit experience, I jumped head first into something without realizing what true effort it takes to own one of these animals. Within a short period of time he grew into one of the largest and beautiful rabbits I had ever seen. He loved giving bunny kisses and snuggling up for a nap. He traveled cross country with me from California to Florida. So, I never like to hear the excuse “I’m moving and can’t take my rabbit.” His life was cut short from an unforeseen rare acute intestinal complication that could not have been resolved or avoided. It was just one of those things in life that deals you a bad hand. He will always be missed and loved and remembered every time I see our logo everyday.

This is Cody, and he was the first to leave us for Bunnie Heaven. He died on a Saturday on July 29, 2006. The day was sunny and warm. Cody was a playful little bunnie. He was very out-going, and loved to kiss people. We will all miss him very much.
